high school sailing
Our High School Sailing Program is designed to foster a love for sailing among high school students. Since its inception in 2019, the program has expanded to include multiple schools, including Southern High School, South River High School, Rockbridge Academy, and Crofton High School. Our teams compete at the MDISA (Maryland Inter-Scholastic Sailing Association) level locally and have qualified for events at the MASSA (Mid-Atlantic Scholastic Sailing Association) regional level.

We pride ourselves on an open and accepting program, requiring no experience to join and no cuts being made. Everyone gets a chance to sail.

NEW THIS SUMMER: We are hosting a one-week, August 10th-14th, High School Sailing JumpStart for rising 8th-12th graders. It is designed to prepare every level of sailor for the fall high school season. Whether you are brand new to sailing, already a seasoned competitor, or somewhere in between, this one‑week program will set you up for success.

THE FALL SEASON INTEREST MEETING WILL BE AUGUST 24TH AT 6:00PM AT THE WEST RIVER SAILING CLUB.
PRACTICE SCHEDULE
Practices are held on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:45pm to 6:45pm
Regattas are typically one day for JV and two days for Varsity and held on the weekends.
