8 Bells - Logan Hottle, Founder of WRSF

We are sad to announce the passing of WRSC member, Logan Hottle on Sunday April 13, 2025.

Logan and her husband, Will, have been longtime and active members of the West River Sailing Club. They sailed, with their beloved Goldendoodle, Winchester, on their Bristol 35, ACOMES, and participated in many cruiser sailing and social events over the years.

Importantly, Logan founded the West River Sailing Foundation (WRSF). This is an independent entity associated with the West River Sailing Club. As a non-profit entity, the Foundation accepts donations that are tax-deductible to the donor. The Foundation's purpose is to promote interest in the sport of sailing and to support research and youth projects to better the understanding of the West and Rhode River watershed and environment.

We will miss Logan and are glad that her founding of the WRSF is functioning well, under the leadership of WRSC Member, Erick Chiang.

Celebration of Life Services will be announced later.
