Notice of Cruise – Memorial Day to Drum Point Bay, Wye River

General Description:


5/24/25 – (Saturday) Midafternoon arrivals. Raft up, weather permitting. Evening gathering for drinks and edibles

5/25/25 – (Sunday) Morning – 9:00 Omelets, Mimosas, and shared plates.

Sunday afternoon, Happy Hour Two

5/26/25 – (Monday) Departure


Details: Cruisers will head to Drum Point Bay on the Wye River for the annual Memorial Day cruise. When entering the Wye River stay to port (do not go to starboard into the Eastern Wye River and Shaw Bay). Drum Point Bay is nestled behind Drum Point


Saturday: Weather permitting a raft-up will form on Saturday. Otter will be anchor boat. Saturday Happy Hour starts at 1700. Please bring your favorite beverage and hors d'oeuvres to share. If the weather looks calm for the evening, the raft will stay together; if not, the raft will break-up.


Sunday Brunch: Sunday brunch will begin at 0900 and will feature the traditional omelets complimented by mimosas, and shareable breakfast delights you chose to bring.


Sunday After Brunch: Quiet time, catching up with friends, exploring the area in dinghies or kayaks. Happy hour aboard Otter gathering at 1700.

Monday: Travel day back to home port.


Communications: Questions can be directed to the Cruise Leaders at any time via email (see above). Please email the Cruise Leaders if you plan to attend. Any changes to the information in this Notice will be distributed by email to members of the Cruising and Big Boat Fleets.


Radio Watch: Cruisers are encouraged to hail the Cruise Leaders on VHF channels 72 on the odd hours from 1200 to 1800 hours Saturday 25 May.
