Stormy, one of the oldest surviving Chesapeake 20s, is looking for her 4th caretaker in her 81 year history. Stormy has been lovingly maintained by her current "caretaker," Ted, who has modernized her and kept her sailing since 2003. She has both her original wood rigging and modern aluminum rigging, a fixed rudder and a lifting/pivoting rudder, sets of sails, and a trailer. She is 100% race-ready for the 2021 season. She needs a good home. Ted truly sees her ownership as a caretaker role, one of preserving the living history of the oldest one-design racing class on the Chesapeake Bay.
Her next caretaker must have...
• A love for the class
• The ability to self maintain and/or to pay to maintain her
• Must actively race her in Chesapeake 20 events, typically held at WRSC
If you are interested in becoming Stormy's 4th caretaker, please email Bryan Bay at bryanbay@outlook.com.
